LCE2026

33rd CIRP Conference on Life Cycle Engineering
March 11–13, 2026 at Kamakura Prince Hotel, Japan

At a Glance

33rd CIRP Conference on Life Cycle Engineering (LCE 2026) provides a valuable and prominent forum for discussing basic research, applications, and current practices in the field of life cycle engineering. The conference theme is “shaping manufacturing ecosystems towards a circular economy.” This conference covers diverse topics such as circular business models, digital product passport, cyber-physical systems, design for sustainability, life cycle assessment, and resilient supply chains. The conference is hosted by the Life Cycle Engineering Research SIG of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering. This will be the fourth time the event is held in Japan, following a 9-year interval since LCE 2017 which took place in Kamakura, Japan. We have chosen the same conference venue (Kamakura Prince Hotel), where you will enjoy a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean and Mt. Fuji.

We hope that the conference will bring together professionals and young scholars/engineers from both industry and academia who wish to exchange innovative technologies and insightful ideas to accelerate the implementation of the circular economy and life cycle engineering.

This conference will be organized back-to-back with the 36th CIRP Design Conference (16-18 March 2026).
